Selangor FC officially announces the release of defender Umarbek Eshmurodov following the non-renewal of his contract, which was set to expire in December 2024.

Umarbek was the first foreign player signed by Selangor FC for the 2024/25 season, a move made in February. After spending time with the club, he now returns to his home country to continue his football career. Selangor FC was his first experience playing abroad, and the dedication he showed during his time with the Red Giants will always be remembered.

As a key figure in the defensive line, Umar played a crucial role in stopping numerous opposition attacks. Over the course of 18 appearances for Selangor FC, spanning across the Malaysia Super League, FA Cup, Malaysia Cup, Challenge Cup, and AFC Champions League Two (ACL2), he contributed 1 goal, 1 assist, and helped secure 8 clean sheets.
